A young couple approached us to do a house complex on Stonehaven Estate near Lanseria Airport, Johannesburg. The complex comprised of the main 5 bedroom house, stables for horses, a guest house as well as servants quarters. 

 

The complex layout became a combination of the site borders and true north resulting in colliding geometries. 

 

Three variations were proposed in the sketch plan phase.
