Boshut Hackerville

Hackerville Boshut

2009

The design of a "hut" in an indigenous forest (part of the Knysna forest), was a dream come true. We designed different prototypes for this project. The site inspired the material as well as the construction method. The whole house was to be built from local timber (the client owned a timber mill) in modules.  The solid parts were to be in stone, similar to the neighboring Tree Top Lodge.
