The site is on an irrigation farm just outside Douglas in the Northern Cape. A couple with small kids wanted a family home between the irrigation circles. The red sand with thorn trees reminds one of a desert and the three concepts made use of the cosmic landscape typology: courtyard with a rather symmetrical layout and a beacon in the landscape. The family chose the second option.
