This house is part of the earlier period of the practices' work. The client wanted a farmhouse against the hill allowing lovely views towards the Free State Botanical Gardens. Recycled tiles and sandstone were incorporated into the design. A wrap around verandah allows for sitting outside all year round. Built by the owner (a civil engineer) himself, this is a spacious family home situated in a beautiful indigenious garden.
